Whether you’re looking for a professional wine qualification, or purely for pleasure, wine courses are a most palatable way to learn a great deal more, both of theory and practical wine tasting.
The West of England Wine School is the foremost wine education body in the South West, providing all levels of the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) courses, from the entry level Foundation, through to the Diploma Honours.
We also have the benefit of a team of tutors many of them still engaged in the wine trade and all of them experts in their particular subject areas.
The WSET courses are internationally recognised as the finest vocational wine courses in the world, so it makes sense for them to be available to interested consumers as well as wine professionals.
Although each level is serious and finishes with a short exam, the modules are most enjoyable, with plenty of opportunity to practice your tasting and food-matching skills alongside fellow enthusiasts, and under the guidance of an experienced tutor. The subject of each module is carefully structured to build on the information provided in the previous ones, especially with the approach to tasting.
The fee for your WSET Level 3 includes all materials, WSET study pack and exam, and we can supply six ISO tasting glasses if you do not have your own, but you will need to bring a cloth to dry them between the tastings. Spittoons will also be provided.
The study packs will be available on the first day, but we will be happy to mail the book as some preparatory reading is a good idea. Lunch will be provided in the Bordeaux Quay Brasserie each week.
We hope this has whetted your appetite and if you would like to enrol, please click on an upcoming date you wish to attend and fill in the form.
If you have any enquiries about the WSET Level 3, you can contact the course co-ordinator Lys Hall on 01275332980 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to welcoming you on the course.
Lys and the team.
