The WSET Level 2 Spirits course is a more advanced examination of the subject than that provided at level 1. The full programme will be issued with the final directions a week before the course starts, but will cover the following topics:
Key stages of spirits production, from raw material through to final product Distillation process and still types
Case studies of:
- Fruit Spirits, including Cognac, Armagnac and Calvados
- Grain Spirits around the world – Whisky/Whiskey, Bourbon
- Agave Spirits
- Flavoured Spirits
Level 2 Spirits expands the knowledge built up at Level 1 through the world’s spirits and production regions, and is an excellent way to taste and learn so much more about the world of spirits.
